Community Shred Day, April 26

April is National Community Banking Month. It focuses on the many contributions community banks make to the areas they serve through local lending, employee volunteerism and personal service. 

Bluffton High School has issued the following Honor Roll for the third quarter of the 2023-2024 school year:

Bluffton University’s Masterworks performance of French composer Maurice Duruflé’s “Requiem” will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public with first-come, first-served seating.

Bluffton University will hold its annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest at 7:00 p.m. on April 10 in Yoder Recital Hall. 

Bluffton Elementary has issued the following 3rd Quarter Honor Roll for the 2023-2024 academic year.

As I was grocery shopping this week, an announcement came overhead about the new updated guidelines for the COVID-19 vaccines. After the announcement, a lady in the same aisle rolled her eyes and said, with obvious disdain, “Whoop-de-do.” 

I refrained from going into a pharmacist educational mode in the dairy aisle, but I wondered if she really understood what she was whoop-de-doing about.
