Bluffton Elementary principal "Mr. T," Ben Thiel, has announced that classes will be recorded performing Christmas music, with links sent by teachers and in future newsletters.
Hometown Stations will be airing videos of students singing or playing Christmas songs on Christmas morning from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Theis will send Bluffton student performances to the station for this program.
The following media release was issued on December 13 by the Allen County Sheriff's office detailing the engagement and pursuit of armed suspects in and near Bluffton, Ohio on December 10 and 11. Amanda Nicole Wrede was apprehended in the immediate area; Ronald David Powell surrendered to officers in the late afternoon in Monroe County, Michigan.
The December 10 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce meeting was hosted by Southgate Lanes, where members enjoyed breakfast and coffee in addition to hearing from the chamber board and members.

The Bluffton Exempted Village School District has submitted a five-year financial forecast to the Ohio Department of Education as approved by the board of education in November 2021 (full report at Ohio Board of Education).
The report includes both data and notes providing the assumptions used for financial projections including revenue, expenditures and changes in fund balances for 2019-2026.
Bluffton once had a cigar store. This photo is believed to be from 1918. It is the John Reigal (or Riegal) Cigar Store in downtown Bluffton. The Bluffton University women's basketball team fell behind 18-2 midway through the first period and could not get over the hump as Transylvania held on for a 64-50 victory on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. Bluffton slipped to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the Heartland Conference, while Transylvania stayed perfect at 8-0 and 3-0 in the HCAC.
