GREENWOOD, Ind. - Bluffton University running back Eric Fox (Brunswick) was voted as the HCAC Play of the Year. The senior earned the title after voting took place on the HCAC social media outlets of Facebook and Twitter.

Fox's winning play was a five-yard touchdown reception on 4th and goal with a leap into the end zone to knot up the score at 7-7 in Bluffton's 20-14 win over Hanover College.

November was a cold one, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.

The average daily temperature was 35.9 degrees while the normal November average is 41.5 degrees.

Snowfall reached 3.9 inches with the heaviest falling on Nov. 16 (2.5 inches) and Nov. 17 (.9 inches).

November’s maximum temperature was 65 degrees on Nov. 11 and 23. The minimum temperature of November was 8 degrees on Nov. 18 and 21.

Precipitation (rain) measured 1.88 inches, while the normal average precipitation for November is 3.16 inches.

This could turn out to be one of our favorite photos of 2014, for several reasons.

First, it's not taken in Bluffton.

Instead, we undertand its expatriate Rick Ramseyer at his home in the state of Maine. The story we understand is that 10 inches of snow plus lots of wind took place earlier this month - in Rick's backyard.

So, here he is attempting to fight a major Nor'Easter. There's lots more to this story, but you must ask Dick or Elfrieda for details.

The first of three Wednesday Advent Services will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, on at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3. The theme is:  "God is with us -- fulfilling promises."  The students in Grades 5-8 will sing “Prophets Knew.”  All are welcome to attend.

Ronald Lee Rich, 87, of Bluffton, Ohio, died on Nov. 28,2014, from complications from 
prostate cancer. He was born on March 29, 1927, in Washington, Ill., to Rufus J. and Lillian (Lantz) Rich.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine, of Bluffton; son Jonathan (Tai) of Union City, Calif.; son Andrew (Sally) of North Manchester, Ind.; daughter Miriam (James Brown) of Blacksburg, Va.; son Mark (Kathy) of Yellow Springs, Ohio; six grandchildren; sister Lois Smucker (Len) of Ashland, Ore.; and sister Mary Blosser of Bluffton.
