A benefit for Angie Palte is planned from 1 to 10 p.m., Saturday, July 19, at Springfield Fireworks, 490 State Route 103, Bluffton. Friends and family members plan the benefit.

• 5 p.m. Sunday’s Regret

How better to celebrate summer than with some ice cream?

Tommy Tire Sales, 319 N. Main St., will serve free ice cream from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, July 25, in front of its business, according to Tom and Sheena Dotson, owners.

"Jay Lugibihl will have his antique ice cream maker set up and we’re giving free bowls of ice cream to anyone in the town who would like to stop by for a bowl," said Tom and Shenna. 

Lifeguard Nate Staley is part of the busy staff of managers and lifeguards at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool. Stay tuned to the Icon for daily photos of staff members.
