The NWO Lunachix 14U travel fastpitch softball team competed in the Kenton Kaos tournament last weekend. On Saturday, they posted the following scores: 
Lunachix 8 vs Shock 0, 
Lunachix 18 vs Marion Diamonds 2,
Lunachix 7 vs Blackhawks 2, and then on Sunday
Lunachix 8 vs Road Warriors 7, 
Lunachix 11 vs Cap City Force 5 and in the final game,
Lunachix 4 vs Ohio Fury 5. 
The team earned runners up for the weekend.

The Icon watched young Fischer Fortman playing at the Bluffton Child Development Center. Fischer is in the Toddlers' Class, which includes youngsters 18 to 36-months old.

At times the world simply seems upside-down. To demonstrate that, here's a view of the reflection in the Maple Crest pond taken during yesterday's fishing derby. The photo reveals the upside down reflection of someone fishing, the Maple Crest martin house and Maple Crest condos.

Almost everyone has a board game memory.

Maybe playing Candy Land, Yahtzee, Chutes and Ladders or even Battleship revives pleasant memories. DTR Industries associate Thomas (Tom) Crownhart of Ada continues to compile his board game memories. Tom grew up in a military family who moved frequently. Tom recalls always playing board games with his family and 10 siblings. “Monopoly, Life, Trouble, any board game,” says Tom.

Youth entering grades 2-7 can learn the basic skills of tennis through a three-day camp at BFR Sports & Fitness, according to Carole Enneking, director. Camp dates are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, June 9-11.

The camp sessions will be held indoors at BFR from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.  Students with little or no prior instruction will learn the basic forehand, backhand and overhead strokes.
