Friends Helping Friends is the Multiple Sclerosis group that meets the second Wednesday of the month in the Bluffton town hall. Meetings are at 6:30 p.m. and are open to those in the area who have MS, or their
family and any friends who are interested in learning more aboup coping skills.

The speaker for the May 9 meeting is Nancy Honse, who will talk about herbs, their care and how to use them.

The Bluffton track and field team concluded its official season at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship meet on Friday and Saturday April 27-28, hosted by Franklin College.

Five youth will be confirmed in the Christian faith during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 6, service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera.

The confirmands are Emily Rose Heldman, Hannah Grace Lussier, Justine Marie Mitchell, Jonathon Lloyd Schmehl and Wyatt Allen Stahl.

The class hymn, "My Shepherd Will Supply My Need" will be sung by the class during the service. The class motto is Matthew 28:20 "Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Class colors are teal and silver and the class flower is the lisianthus.

Beginning Tuesday, May 8, the Apollo Career Center Floral Design/Interiors program will hold its annual bedding plant sale. The program will have its greenhouses full of annuals and perennials ready for planting.

Ebenezer Mennonite Church will host a National Day of Prayer program on Thursday, May 3, at 7 p.m.

The program will include music, a color guard, church and community members leading in prayer for our country, state, community, military, law enforcement personnel, firefighters, media, business persons, educators, churches, youth, families, medical personnel, and the aged.

A musical finale of "God Bless America" will be sung by Kara Zink, Sarah Lehman and Amy McGough. The church is located two miles west of Bluffton on Columbus Grove Road.
