This is Church Street, Bluffton, but not the street of today. Of the three structures in this post card photo only one exists today. On the left is the First Mennonite Church. In the center is the Victorian Bluffton school house. On the right is the original Methodist church. Notice that the street is neither bricked nor paved. And, if you look closely, there appears to be a man standing in front of the school house.

Youth from the Bluffton Vacation Bible School sang songs learned in VBS during the Aug. 1 community worship service sponsored by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association. The service was on the Bluffton Presbyterian Chuch lawn. To view more photos of the worship service click here.

Trent Wagler and The Steel Wheels will perform at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3, in the Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series. The performance is on the third floor of the town hall.The band performs American Roots and Bluegrass. The group is from Shenandoah Valley and are on tour after performing at the Riverfolk Festival near Ann Arbor, Mich.

This one makes sense if you have a mind like Ropp Triplett. "TRIP C" as we understand it means "Triplett Car." Another plate, "TRIP V," therefore would mean "Triplett Van." Ropp claims this is the only way he can remember his license plate. In this system, we suppose TRIP B would mean Triplett Bus.

I was excited when I found it as I was looking for information on an old school in Allen County - Diller School.

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association will sponsor a community worship service at 9 a.m., Sunday, on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn. The summer service has become a tradition in the community.
