Bluffton's biggest students--athletes from Bluffton University--have returned to celebrate High-Five Fridays with some of our littlest, Bluffton Elementary students. With the second week of September, it's time for the restart of monthly Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast meetings. Director Jim Enneking has announced that Allen County commissioner Beth Seibert will give a State of Allen County update.

The September 9 meeting includes breakfast at 7:00 a.m. and a program at 7:30 a.m.. Citizens National Bank is the breakfast sponsor and catering will be provided by Twisted Whisk Cafe. The meeting will be held on the third floor of the Town Hall, 154 N. Main St.

Elder Victim Ministries, a program of Crime Victim Services (CVS) of Putnam and Allen Counties, has dedicated a portrait of Vicenta Castillo Velasquez at its Ottawa office, 338 E 3rd St, Ottawa. Velasquez, a Mexican American, was a long-time Putnam County resident who volunteered her time to support vulnerable people in the community.

The Suter Produce corn maze and hayrides to the sunflower and pumpkin patches will open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10.

The 2022 theme is "Suter Safari."

Larry and Barb Kinn are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary on September 2, 2022.

They were married on September 2, 1972. They are having a celebration with close friends and family.

The Bluffton Police Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Patrol Officer, according to a Sept. 1 post on the department's Facebook page.
