Bluffton University is inviting high-achieving high school students to campus on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, to compete for one of two full-tuition scholarships. The awards are valued at more than $138,800 through the four years of undergraduate education at Bluffton.

Participants receive a $1,000 annual scholarship just for participating in the Presidential Scholarship Competition.    

Eligibility requirements:

Jeanette Louise Warren, 81, passed away on January 22, 2022 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. 

Jeanette was born February 18, 1940 to the late G. Elwood and Irene (Haugh) James. On June 3, 1960 she married James Warren who preceded her in death on January 30, 2010.

The Bluffton University men's basketball team battled back from an early deficit, but Hanover College was too much for the Beavers down the stretch on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022. Hanover improved to 13-2 overall and 9-1 in the Heartland Conference following a 67-57 victory over Bluffton (5-9, 1-6 HCAC).

The Bluffton University women's basketball team continued its hot run with a 77-68 win over Hanover College on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022. Bluffton moved to 11-5 overall and 6-3 in the Heartland Conference with its ninth win in the past 10 games, while Hanover fell to 7-7 and 4-5 in the HCAC.

Marilyn F. Bullock, 91, rejoined her husband Donald B. Bullock in death on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 5:48 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
