Here's the list of special programs in July at the Bluffton Public Library.
The “Libraries Rock” Summer Program continues. Because registration for many of these programs began at the beginning of June, registration may be full for some programs. To register, call at 419-358-5016, visit our website at blufftonpubliclibrary.org, or stop in during library hours.
Adults age 18 and up are welcome to the library’s Self Care Mini Conference on July 9 beginning at 6 p.m.
This mini-conference has a broad self-care focus, from traditional to alternative. Registrants will meet with and gather information from local businesses and organizations as well as complete activities to focus on self care.
One of this summer's Bluffton Public Library popular repeating programs for youth returns on Tuesday.
It's another "make and take" session, held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 26.
Children going into grades K-5 are encouraged to attend the craft session as recycled musical instruments will be constructed. Registration is required to insure that all participants have enough material to create their instruments.
Attached are some photos from the Bluffton Public Library Fun Day on June 4. It was a huge success.
Every Summer Program kick off event brings several hundred, and we think this year was the largest crowd we've seen for a Kick Off.
Among popular events were the involvement for the Touch-a-Truck and llamas as we had Hard Rock Llama Co., a Bluffton Exempted School District school bus and Bobcat, the Bluffton EMS, fire truck, police vehicles, and someone even brought a motorcycle.
Naturalist Beth Theisen of Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Parks will present The Healing Power of Nature on June 12 at 6 p.m. This program is intended for adults, and registration is required by June 7. (Please call or stop by the library to register.) Scientists are finding that a connection to the natural world is crucial for our health and well-being; join Theisen as she discusses this "Healing Power of Nature”.
