TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Bluffton University men's basketball team rallied from 16 down for a stunning 73-70 victory at Rose-Hulman on Saturday, Jan. 13. Bluffton won its second straight, improving to 7-8 overall and 4-4 in the Heartland Conference, while Rose slipped to 8-7 and 6-2 in the HCAC. The Beavers snapped RHIT's seven-game winning streak in the process.

Friday, Jan. 19, in Stutzman Lecture Hall

Dr. Jonathan Andreas, associate professor of economics at Bluffton University, will present the Colloquium, “Replacing GDP with Median Expected Lifetime Income,” at 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, in Stutzman Lecture Hall.

Andreas will discuss MELI, his potential replacement for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as the standard measurement for well-being. 

Rev. Daniel Hughes, Price Hill campus pastor of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Cincinnati, will present, “JUST LOVE - Justice and Love Ignites Faith in the Beloved Community,” at 11 a.m. on, Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Yoder Recital Hall.

The 2013 Bluffton graduate returns to campus to present the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Forum. This event is free and open to the public.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University fans purpled-out Copeland Court on Wednesday, Jan. 10, as the Beavers faced off against their long-time HCAC rival, the Defiance College Yellow Jackets. Bluffton improved to 11-3 overall (6-1 HCAC) while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 4-10 overall (2-5 HCAC).

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men’s basketball team faced off against the other purple school, Defiance College, in a conference battle at home on Wednesday, Jan. 10. The Beavers went up by double digits near the end of the first half and didn’t look back as they swatted the Yellow Jackets, 75-47, to improve to 6-8 (3-4 HCAC) on the season. DC fell to 3-11 and 2-5 in the conference.
