Bluffton University will unveil its Alumni Field, with newly installed artificial turf and upgraded track and field event areas, Saturday  at Salzman Stadium.

The field will be dedicated at about 1:15 p.m., prior to the 1:30 p.m. kickoff of Bluffton’s home-opening football game against Baldwin Wallace.

Dr. Timothy Jost, the Robert L. Willett Family Professor of Law in the Washington and Lee University School of Law, will examine “The Constitution and Health Care for the Uninsured” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in Founders Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Jost will address why it is difficult to reform health care financing in the U.S. constitutional system. He is a widely cited expert on the Affordable Care Act, President Barack Obama’s health care law.

BLUFFTON, Ohio -The Bluffton women’s soccer team finished off a thrilling victory behind a buzzer-beating goal from Brittany Huff (Union/Northmont) to earn a positive 3-2 result on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The win pushed the Beavers to 2-1 on the young season, while the Purple Raiders fell to 1-3.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University men’s soccer team could not overcome the Mount Union Purple Raiders on Wednesday, Sept. 9, as they fell by a 3-1 count. The Beavers dipped to 0-3 while Mount Union garnered its first win of the season to improve to 1-1.

Bluffton University remains in the top one-third of Midwest “regional colleges” in U.S. News & World Report rankings.

The 2016 edition of the magazine’s Best Colleges guidebook ranks Bluffton tied for 27th among 96 comparable institutions in 12 Midwest states. That’s up from 28th last year, “driven by increases in our freshman retention rate and lower student/faculty ratio,” noted Ron Headings, Bluffton’s vice president for enrollment management and marketing.
