Bluffton University will present its 119th performance of Handel’s “Messiah” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, in Founders Hall. The event is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken.
Dr. Mark J. Suderman, professor of music and director of choral activities at the university, will conduct the oratorio for the 13thtime at Bluffton, where he has taught since 2000. The 20-member orchestra includes faculty and community members, while students, faculty, staff and community members comprise the 66-voice chorus.
TIFFIN, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's basketball team continued its winning ways on Tuesday, Nov. 25, with an 82-69 victory at Heidelberg University. The Beavers improved to 3-1 with their third straight win, while the Student Princes slipped to 1-2 on the young season.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University center Thayne Recker (Arlington) earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Chicago Marriott Naperville Tip-Off Tournament over the weekend and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Despite another big night from Thayne Recker (Arlington), the Bluffton University men’s basketball team fell to host North Central College on Saturday, Nov. 22, by a final of 77-61. Recker scored 24 points on 9-for-10 shooting while adding five boards to follow up his 25-point, 11-rebound performance in Friday’s loss. The Beavers fell to 1-2 while the Cardinals are now 2-0 early in the season.
