Doty's Auto Repair and Wheel Alignment, LLC, 180 E. Jefferson St., continues to be open and serve its customers during the Jefferson Street project, according to Mike Doty, owner.
"Customers can easily acces our shop by using the alley on East Elm Street," said Doty.
Jefferson Street is open only to local traffic while Phase II of the street reconstruction is underway, so Doty's front entrance on Jefferson Streetmay be times unavailable to customers.
Bluffton’s 2021’s first quarter experienced $389,013 in building permit total figures on 11 permits filed with the village, according to Bryan Lloyd, assistant village administrator.
This is a giant leap from last year’s first-quarter covid-19 infested period, which saw four permits totally $84,804.
However, it is a far cry from the first quarter of 2019, which totaled $531,200 and $2018, which totaled $11.8 million. In 2018, GROB had a $10 building program.

Bluffton School of Tattoo Artistry, (BSTA) hopes to open later this spring in a yet-to-be-announced downtown location, according to a franchise holding company setting up the school.
The school hopes to become nationally-accredited and associated with Tattoo America Accrediting, LTD. According to the school’s owners, headquartered in Ft. Collins, Colorado, from 20 to 35 students are expected to initially enroll in the 6-month program.
