The deadline for filing candidate petitions was August 6. Some applications are currently shown as valid and some are shown as pending.

Bluffton American Legion Post 382 made its annual check presentations on Monday, August 4, presenting a total of $9,000 in support for 12 local non-profit organizations. Post Commander Kurt Emans provided background information on the recipients and committee members Sam Reineke, Tom Benroth, Fred Rodabaugh and Dennis Morrison presented individual checks.
The following 13 land transfers took place in the Bluffton Exempted Village School District in July 2025 as reported on the websites of Allen County Auditor Rachael S. Gilroy and Hancock County Auditor Charity A. Rauschenberg.

The filing deadline for nominating petitions by non-partisan candidates to appear on the November 4 General Election ballot in Ohio is 4:00 p.m. on August 6, 2025 (90 days before the General Election).
Write-in candidates must file declarations of intent by 4:00 p.m. on August 25.
To become a candidate, individuals must collect the designated number of valid voter signatures on the form designated by the Secretary of State and pay a $30 fee.
