Sunday, Oct. 29, is your final chance to tour Suter Produce’s corn maze. The maze and cider press are at 8250 Road R, Pandora.

The Morning Star cider press will also close on Sunday, however customers wanting cider should call first to make certain the cider is still available.

Corn maze hours are Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. The last maze admission is at 7 p.m.

Admission is $6 for adults and $4.50 for students (K to college).

Hayrides and the corn train hours are Saturday and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m.

Citizens National Bank will hold a series of 2018 economic forecast presentations in October and November.

Robert J. Morgan, senior consultant with Austin Associates, will make the presentations that are free and open to the public.

He will discuss current market conditions and what he expects to see  regarding  unemployment, housing and the challenges facing business owners in the upcoming year.

The next time you visit the cider press or corn maze check out the 40-acre field on the south side of Road R.

“The radishes and peas are a cover crop. They will be there until we plant our no- till sweet corn next spring,” Jerry Suter said.

Suter’s have used the radish-pea cover crop combination for the past four years. 

RSVP now for free Oct. 25 program

First National Bank and First National Financial Services will host a Social Security workshop with emphasis on taxation Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the First National Bank ,1630 Tiffin Ave., Findlay.

This workshop will provide a general education about Social Security taxation, how to maximize full retirement benefits and how Social Security may be affected if you work through retirement.

Natalie Mueller of The Scoreboard, 111 N. Main St., Bluffton, says October is a great time to order school letterjackets as Christmas presents.

During October all customers who place letterjacket orders receive a $10 gift card.
