The Food Store, 103 S. Main St., celebrates 31 years on Main on Saturday, Oct. 29.
According to owners, the anniversary celebration features food sampling and a
variety of special offers for customers.
When owners, Jon and Sally Weaver Sommer and Hans and Linda Houshower,
renovated a vacant building on Main Street and opened a natural foods store
in 1985, the natural foods industry was just getting started.
Amy Eddings, reporter for The Lima News and SALT, formerly of NPR, is the speaker at the Lima Rotary Club on Monday, Oct. 31.
The Lima Rotary Club meets at noon in the North Hall of the Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center. The speaker usually begins around 12:30 p.m.
Eddings and her husband are winners of the 2016 Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs business plan competition. They own Easter House Bed and Breakfast, Ada.
