And few participants are complaining

In late October Bluffton will hold an event with masks required and few participants are complaining.

Mayor Richard Johnson announced that trick-or-treating will take place in the village from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29.

Like most Ohio communities, Bluffton awaited the covid-19 guidelines from the governor’s office before making an announcement. That green light arrived last week.

Dynamic Ag will host a harvest party at 6705 Tom Fett Road, Bluffton from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27.

The event includes live music, food, hayrides and pumpkins. Shifferly Road Band will perform beginning at 2 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Door prizes, samples and several direct sales displays

The Bluffton "pop-up shop" returns to The Centre, 601 N. Main St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26.

"Your favorite direct sales companies are gathering together in one location to share products and services," said Cindy Luginbuhl, one of the event planners.

"Door prizes and some vendors will have samples to share. As a courtesy to all, we ask that you wear face coverings and practice social distancing during the event," she said.

Community meals, Bingo, Friday movies, flu shots and bowling scheduled

Bluffton Senior Citizens can’t wait for October as several programs return to the calendar for its members.

Tonya Meyer, director, said, “We finally have the okay to start programming, but the list of rules and regulations is long. We are going to start with just a few programs in October and will expand every month as long as we all stay healthy.”

Check the October newsletter attached below for specific instructions for each of these programs.

Reservations are required for several events by calling 419-358-8971.
