Saturday, August 9, 2025 is Bluffton History Day. The Bluffton Ohio Historical Society will celebrate local railroad history at the1899 Depot at Buckeye Park from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Among many activities and displays will be several food vendors at both the 1899 Depot and the Main Street depot, home of Bluffton Board and Brush.

JULY 16 MEDIA RELEASE__The Village of Bluffton is building a friendship with the city of Mindelheim, Germany. This Twin Towns initiative will be an ongoing process with an important kickoff event taking place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 on the third floor of Bluffton Town Hall.

GROB Systems is hosting a meet and greet with a presentation led by six GROB-Werke apprentices who have spent the past three weeks in Bluffton.  

July 14 MEDIA RELEASE__Riley Creek Arbor is sponsoring free pool admission for the first 125 people at the Bluffton Community Pool on each of these dates:

Friday, July 18 from 1 – 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 19 from 12 – 7 p.m.

JULY 15 MEDIA RELEASE__On Wed., July 23, at 3:30 p.m., the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan  Park District will offer Prairie Fairies at Motter Metro Park, 10740  Columbus Grove Rd., Bluffton.

Come out to Motter Metro Park and help a naturalist look for real life fairies of the prairie–butterflies and moths! Together we will learn about the importance  of prairies, how to observe and handle butterflies, and how to appreciate the  beauty of this ecosystem. Butterfly nets provided. Guests are invited to come  wearing fairy wings or flower crowns for fun! Closed-toe shoes and socks are  recommended.

JUNE 9 MEDIA RELEASE__On Saturday, July 19 at the Marathon Center for Performing Arts in Findlay, a free creative writing workshop will focus on genre fiction: Science-Fiction/Speculative Fiction, Fantasy and Romance--among others.

This workshop is a free in-person event and open to all writers High School age and older.

SCHEDULE

Morning: Craft talks with Writing Prompts

11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Lunch on own in downtown Findlay, with time for writing.

Afternoon: Facilitated small-group workshops, followed by an open mic

BLUFFTON SENIOR CENTER NEWS — On July 17, the Village of Bluffton will serve the Community Meal at 6 p.m.

All Community Meals are free and open to the public. A good will offering will be taken to assist the local food pantry.
