Here's the Bluffton High School boys' basketball team from 1915-1916. We know the uniforms were red and white, but this team was not yet called Pirates. That would happen about 13 season later.

Here's the Bluffton High School class of 1919 as fourth graders during the 1908-09 school year. The class is posed on the front steps of the school buidling that was originally on the site of the present elementary. Elva Moser was the teacher.

According to the Bluffton High School yearbook: Hi-Y is a group of sophomore, junior and senior boys joined together for good fellowship and to fulfll the Hi-Y purpose which is “To create, maintain and extend throughout the home, school and community, high standards of Christian Character.”
