Obituaries

 Dixie Lee Thompson, 78, died on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at 7:10 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada. 

She was born on June 18, 1941 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Lester E. and Betty (Plummer) Mumaw.  On April 8, 1962, Dixie married David E. Thompson and he survives in LaFayette.  

Scott Roger Born, 54, died at his Bluffton residence on Oct. 28, 2019.  The son of Nancy and (the late) Don Fultz of Bluffton, and Roger and Phyllis Born of Circleville, Ohio, Scott was born June 7, 1965, in Lima, Ohio.

Scott was a 1983 graduate of Bluffton High School, and earned, with honors, an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering from Lima Technical College.  Scott had most recently been employed by Accubuilt in Lima.

Scott Roger Born, 54, died on Oct. 28, 2019, at his residence. Memorial services will begin at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at English Lutheran Church in Bluffton. 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of the service at the church.  Arrangements have been entrusted with Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Donald J. Hartman, 78, died Oct. 26, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.  Donald was born Aug. 12, 1941, in Bluffton, Ohio to the late Cecil and Esther Hartman. He was married to Ruth Hartman and she preceded him in death.

Donald had worked for 18 years at Clark Equipment and later at Shady Lawn Truck Stop in Elkton, Tennessee, where he serviced truck tires. 

Was a volunteer at Et Cetera Shop

Mary Magdalene Boyer, 95, of Bluffton died Oct. 9, 2019, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.  Mary was born March 8, 1924, in Sugarcreek, Ohio, to the late Asa Clay and Iola (Miller) Maust. 

On June 29, 1952, she married Claude Boyer who preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2013, after 61 years of marriage.

He played football and wrestled at Ohio University

S. Mark "Buck" Albright, 61, died Oct. 20, 2019, at Sanford Health in Bismarck, North Dakota.  Mark was born May 23, 1958, in Elwood, Indiana, to the late Dale and Doris (Edds) Albright.  On Nov. 22, 1995, he married Debra Garrison Albright who survives. 

Mark graduated from Bluffton High School where he played football and wrestled and attended Ohio University. He was a communication engineer for Charter Communications, co-owned Albright's Antiques with his wife, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bluffton.
