Bluffton American Legion Post 382 recently recognized Bluffton High School students who participated in Buckeye Boys State and Girls State this summer.
Misha Groman and Jack Burrell attended the American Legion Buckeye Boys State at Bowling Green State University. Kenzie Braden attended Buckeye Girls State at the University of Mount Union.
PrimeTimers Fellowship will meet for a noon lunch on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at St. John Mennonite Church, 15988 Road 2, Pandora.
The monthly lunch is open to all adults 55 and over. Entertainment is provided by Lauren Brooke and Sisters.
The meal includes meat with vegetable lasagna, green bean with almonds, mixed salad with maple dressing, breadsticks, pumpkin roll with homemade whipped cream and coffee.

This year’s Bluffton High School homecoming court includes several members of the same family. Two sisters and two brothers are members of the court. And a sister-brother pair includes a court member and a driver.
The 2015 homecoming king and queen will be announced in a pre-game ceremony Friday at Harmon Field. Watch the Icon for more homecoming information.

I had the exciting opportunity to catch up with John Oakley who is a member of Bluffton High School’s most recently graduated class. After his first few weeks of college he shared some of his initial reactions and insights into his freshman year.
Where are you attending school and what are you studying?
I am attending Bowling Green State University and I am studying Computer Science.
