Emily S. Burris, a 2001 Bluffton High School graduate, has been accepted to The California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University in San Diego, Calif., where she will pursue a doctorate in Clinical Psychology specializing in Forensic Psychology.
In May she graduated with distinction from Tiffin University with a Master's of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in forensic psychology. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Findlay where she received Bachelor of Arts in Law, Liberal Arts and Criminal Justice
Administration.
The Icon is cooperating with Dan Fultz, member of the Bluffton University faculty, in a video-sharing project. This spring students in one of Fultz's classes created several videos on various topics. The icon will air several of these videos.

Franklin University, Columbus, announces the appointment of former Bluffton resident Dr. Kathleen Herrmann as Director of Education Alliances.
Dr. Herrmann is an experienced professional who will provide a renewed sense of energy and commitment toward establishing and maintaining the numerous relationships the university holds with its various educational partners.
Instead of Bluffton Child Development Center students going to the farm, the farm came to them last week. Members of the Bluffton 4-H Cattle Club visited the Center and shared some of their animals with the children, according to Mary Painter, Center director.
"Our kids had so many questions to ask and the members of the club were very willing to answer them," said Painter. "It was truly an on-hands experience that some children may never have access to."
