The July 10 meeting of the Village of Bluffton Council was held at 7:00 p.m. on the third floor of Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main. The full packet for the meeting is attached.

Mayor Richard Johnson conducted the meeting with all council members present. All motions were passed with two total abstentions and zero no votes.

Bluffton's Cemetery Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 10 at Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main.

The July 10 meeting of the Village of Bluffton Council will take place at 7:00 p.m. on the third floor of Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main.

The attached agenda has been provided to the Icon by Village Administrator Jesse Blackburn.

Legislation includes:

  • An refuse and recyclables collection ordinance including rates; 2nd reading
  • Three resolutions regarding participation in State Capital Improvement and/or local transportation improvement programs; 1st reading
  • A resolution adopting the Bluffton Beyond Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan; 1st reading by emergency

As noted at the June 26 Bluffton Council meeting, the 2022 Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report is now available.

The report can be found at www.bluffton-ohio.com/water/ or at the Town Hall, 154 N. Main St. In summary: The water supplied by the Village of Bluffton in 2022 was compliant with EPA regulations.

A copy of this report will be mailed out to all water customers on June 26 to meet federal notification requirements. A website link will be shared on the water bills due July 25 to Village water customers.

The June 26 meeting of the Bluffton Council followed on the heels of two public information meetings about the Village's new natural gas aggregation status. Several Councilors and Administrators participated and Councilor Ben Stahl had a pithy endorsement for joining the aggregation managed by Palmer Energy:  "I work full time. Their market analyst works full time trying to beat the utility's rate, I don't think I have time to do better than him."

Bluffton Exempted Village Schools will hold a Board of Education Meeting at 7:30 p.m. on June 27, 2023 in the Elementary Media Center, 102 S. Jackson St.
