The Bluffton Exempted Village Schools Board Of Education held a Regular Meeting in the Elementary Library at 7:30 p.m. on May 15, 2023. All board members--Larry Hoffman, Roni Kaufman, Wes Klinger, Jeremy Scoles and Brad Dailey--were present. Eight members of the public were present.
All items requiring the approval of the board were passed unanimously.
Richland Township trustees will hold a special meeting on Wed, May 31, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Township garage, 8435 Dixie Hwy, Bluffton, Ohio for personnel matters.
Regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. at the Township Garage.
The Monday, May 22 meeting of the Bluffton council proceeded with dispatch, as councilors and administrators covered a lot of ground in only forty minutes.
COMMITTEES
Several Committees presented reports of their meetings from the last two weeks. Joe Sehlhorst said that Streets and Alleys had met for five minutes to discuss vacating an alley.
While the Bluffton Schools are busy wrapping up the 2022-2023 school year, the Board of Education has been busy interviewing candidates for a new middle school principal to start August 1, 2023.
On Wednesday, May 10, the board approved a 3-year contract with Doug Westrick, who is currently the superintendent of Delphos City Schools.
