Since 2019, there have been 109,507 deer-involved crashes on Ohio roadways

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorists of the increase in deer-involved crashes during this time of year. While 95% of deer-involved crashes only resulted in property damage, 44 crashes were fatal and resulted in 45 deaths. From 2019-2023, 47% of these crashes occurred in October, November and December, with 22% occurring in November alone. ▶︎

11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, Beaverdam Cemetery

The Beaverdam Veterans Committee and Beaverdam Village Council are hosting a memorial dedication on November 9 honoring veterans buried in the Beaverdam Cemetery, located south of Main St. across from the Church St. intersection.

Ceremonies will include local officials, a performance by Four Gals and a Guy vocal ensemble, Eli Lehman paying Taps and the American Legion Post 382 rifle squadron and color guard. Presentations will provide information about local honor flights to Washington D.C. and the history of Beaverdam Cemetery.

Throughout the month of November, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is conducting an online survey to identify traffic safety concerns and obtain feedback about interactions with the agency.

ADA – On November 7, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will host regional testing for prospective applicants on the campus of Ohio Northern University at the King-Horn  Convocation Physical Education Center, located at 609 W. Lincoln Ave. in Ada.  

Those interested in employment with the Patrol can come to the King-Horn Convocation Physical Education Center at 9 a.m., where they will have the ability to talk with  troopers about a career of service in our communities and on Ohio roadways.
