How many times have you seen a U.S. flag baking under a hot sun or stretched out in a brisk wind? The flag is considered a living symbol of the United States of America, but the fabric and thread that are the physical means of displaying love of country fade and wear under those conditions.
Early on a chilly mid-November day, a Village of Ada crew welcomed Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce volunteers for a morning of happy work, decorating Depot Park for the holidays.

In maintaining its accreditation status for another five years, Allen County Public Health has demonstrated that it meets PHAB’s quality standards and measures and has the capacity to continue to evolve, improve and advance to continue improving the health of the residents of Allen County.
Downtown Ada businesses are all dressed up in their seasonal finery for the November 20 Third Thursday event promoted by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.
Participating businesses will have additional hours from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The Chamber invites you to "shop, stroll and give thanks!"
FROM FACEBOOK__This week the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is joined by Ada merchants and restaurants in special Third Thursday opportunities from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Participating businesses include Beatitudes Ada, Bee Home, Our Garden of Gifts, The Mercantile on Main and all restaurants.
This is the second Third Thursday event promoted by the chamber. The December Third Thursday event will take place on the 18th.
MEDIA RELEASE__Pandora-Gilboa Local Schools has unveiled a new Veterans Wall display in the main hallway to honor graduates from all branches of the U. S. military. The project, designed by Superintendent Dr. Jeff Wise, recognizes the service and sacrifice of former students who have served their country.
The idea for the display was inspired by local veteran Larry McCullough Sr., who shared with Dr. Wise that he had seen a similar wall at another school. Moved by the suggestion and the opportunity to pay tribute to the district’s veterans, Dr. Wise brought the idea to life at Pandora-Gilboa.
“I’ve always had deep respect for the men and women who have sacrificed so much for all Americans,” said Dr. Wise. “This wall is a small way for our school community to express our gratitude and ensure that our graduates’ service is remembered.”
