Bluffton's traditional Memorial Day parade and ceremony at Maple Grove Cemetery takes place Monday, May 27, according to John Wagner, commander of the Bluffton American Legion Post 382.
The parade starts at the Bluffton town hall at 9:30 a.m. Those who would like to participate in the parade are asked to be at the town hall at 9:15 a.m.
The Bluffton American Legion Post # 382 Honor Guard will lead the parade followed by the Bluffton High School Band.
Wagner said, "We ask that all citizens please remove their caps to show respect for the American flag."

This summer's theme, "Dig Into Reading," offers programs for youth through adults. The summer reading program, from early June to late July provides prize for readers. Registration begins on June. 4.
BFR Sports and Fitnesss announces two summer programs for youth with sign-up now underway, according to Carole Enneking, director.
Fun Fitness class
An evening exercise option for youth is being introduced at BFR this June. Kelly Honse will lead Fun Fitness for youth who have completed kindergarten through grade 2. The weekly program will meet on Tuesdays in June from 6-7 p.m.
The Bluffton Shuffleboard Club will host a free demonstration and open house for any adult interested in learning the game of shuffleboard or more about the Bluffton Club.
The event will be held Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. on the courts in Buckeye Park off Spring Street.
The club meets regularly throughout the summer for informal mixers on Mondays and Saturdays at 10 a.m., Thursdays at 5 p.m., and hosts several state and local tournaments during the season.

Bluffton Lions Club members invite Icon viewers to join in its "Burger Bash." The event is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, May 19, at the Bluffton McDonald's.
Fifteen percent of all purchases between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the 19th will be donated to the Bluffton Lions Club when the customer shows a copy of the flyer in this story when making a purchase.
