Lots of holiday related activities are planned at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center this month, according to Tonya Meyers, director.
The Center will hold extended shopping hours: Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until the weekend of Christmas.
Peanut brittle is available while the supply lasts. The Bluffton-made candy is available at the Center for $5 a pound. Another Christmas gift idea are Bluffton playing cards, based on historical photos representing Bluffton. Decks are $10 each, while supplies last.
The Bluffton Relay for Life newsletter is now available for Icon viewers. The 2012 relay is June 22-23 at Bluffton University's Saltzman's Stadium.
According to relay planners, the Bluffton cross country team and track teams are the first team for next year's relay.
The 2012 event goal is $30,000.
According to Adam Blevins of the American Cancer Society, "As we sprint into another Relay season, we're looking for ideas and suggestions for our 2011 Relay theme. If you have one and would like to share - please let us know."
