The State of Ohio has launched new dashboards to better track and report data on overdose deaths and other substance-use related measures for all 88 Ohio counties. (Integrated Behavioral Health Dashboard)

These statewide dashboards were adopted and expanded from dashboards created through the National Institutes of Health-funded HEALing Communities Study. Researchers at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine initially developed community-tailored, data-driven dashboards that included opioid overdose deaths and other opioid use disorder-related measures for 18 counties in Ohio. (2017-2021 Allen County totals)

Using the public health data in these dashboards, communities partnered with researchers to determine which evidence-based interventions to implement to reduce overdoses and opioid misuse. Based on the success of these dashboards in the initial 18 counties in the study, the State of Ohio with RecoveryOhio has now implemented them statewide.

Flood Statement National Weather Service Northern Indiana 953 AM EST Mon Mar 6 2023 ...

The National Weather Service has determined that a concentrated area of accelerated winds known as a microburst occured near Beaverdam on February 27.

Based on damage, it is estimated that straightline winds peaking at 75 mph occured on a 2-mile path at 3:57-3:59 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

LIMA–The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 11988, is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects in the Icon readership area:

HANCOCK COUNTY
State Route 103 bridge maintenance (PID: 105152) - ODOT is proposing to replace the surface of the bridge that carries State Route 103 over Buck Run on the eastern edge of the village of Arlington. The bridge is located approximately one half mile east of the U.S. Route 68 and State Route 103 intersection in the village.

Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures. Vehicular through traffic will be detoured temporarily. Access for local traffic to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.

Construction is scheduled to occur in the summer of 2025.

UPDATE: A period of moderate to heavy rainfall is expected later this morning through this evening (March 3). Storm total rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.25 inches are expected. Wet soil conditions from recent heavy rainfall will lead to a large amount of runoff from this additional heavy rainfall. This will lead to flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas, including small creeks and streams.
