Cupid's Cupboard and Cafe with a bake sale and lunch is planned from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 223 W. College Ave.

The cafe menu includes a selection of homemade soups, a hot chicken sandwich, relishes, pie and beverages.

Meals are $5 each. Ala carte items are $2.

The Bluffton American Legion Post 382 will commemorate Four Chaplains' Sunday on Feb. 6. Members of the Legion will attend the Emmanuel United Church of Christ morning worship service at 10 a.m. The church is at 8375 Phillips Road.

The commemoration is in conjunction with the Legion's observance of Religious Emphasis Week, Feb. 1 to 7.

Four Chaplains Sunday marks the 68th anniversary of the sinking of the USS Dorchester and the heroism demonstrated by four chaplains.

Bluffton University's Shining Through ministry team will share a music worship service at First Mennonite Church at 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, according to Steve Yoder, pastor.

The student group is led by Tim Intagliata, campus pastor and is coached musically by Crystal Sellers, assistant professor of music, and supported administratively by Jeff Boehr, assistant campus pastor for church relations.

The theme of the service is "A Servant's Heart."

Bluffton's next American Red Cross blood drive is from noon to 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3, at First Mennonite Church.

Bluffton Area Ministerial Association's annual pulpit exchange takes place on Sunday, Jan. 16. The exchange has been a ministerial tradition for several years. Here's who preaches where on Sunday in Bluffton:

First Mennonite Church's BlauRock Cafe will present an evening of celebrating a vision of world peace expressed in music, prose, poetry, and the words of the Martin Luther King Jr.

The event is at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17, in Fellowship Hall in the church.

The evening includes coffeehouse-style entertainment. Amy Lehman Mikesell, Hassan Mosoka and Shahad Aldoori offer reports of conflict and hope from various parts of the world.
