The family of Joyce Badertscher would like to honor her with a card shower in celebration of her 90th birthday, Sunday, August 22.

September lunch menu now available

Bluffton students will be returning to school on Aug. 30.

There is no school for Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6.

Money goes toward updating and purchasing equipment

Beaverdam-Richland Fire & Rescue will be holding a fundraising cookout during the Lincoln Highway Buy-Way sales.

The dates of this year's garage sales are Aug. 12, 13, and 14.

Options include a variety of sandwiches, chips, and drinks.

The station is located at 201 W. Main St., Beaverdam.

All proceeds will be used for updating and purchasing equipment.

Visiting Bluffton lost 5-0 at Celina in the girls tennis season opener Monday evening.

Lady Pirate Sophomore Brooke Camper dropped a tough three-setter at first singles in a third-set, 10-point tiebreaker 4-6, 7-6, 10-3.

Pirate sophomore Caitlyn Couch also lost a close three-set battle at second singles by an 0-6, 6-2, 7-5 count.

Sophomore Alyssa Hoffman succumbed in a straight-sets match at third singles.

Pirate seniors Ellie Nickel and Libby Frazier lost at first doubles in two sets.
