When hearing the term “chronic pain,” many people can quickly mention a friend or family member who had to stop their favorite hobby because of it.

Chronic pain varies in intensity and frequency, affecting over 100 million Americans. Some experience chronic pain constantly, while others only feel it in episodes. Though many people have heard of it, few can accurately define the condition and fully understand the effects chronic pain can have.

Geneva M. Shetler, 100, of Bluffton died Sept. 13, 2019, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.  Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, followed by a memorial luncheon at First Mennonite Church in Bluffton.  Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Meet Bluffton Farmers Market vendors

Bluffton Farmers Market is the place to be on Saturday mornings in town. According to the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, our town "boasts the best farmers market in northwest Ohio."

In celebration of our small but mighty farmers market, the Icon will be featuring a market vendor each week over the course of the summer.

This week's feature vendor is Hilty's Farm Market.

The first-year class of 250 also has an average GPA of 3.26 and the average ACT score of 21.

Bluffton University has enrolled its highest number of first-year students since 2013-14. The first-year class of 250 also has an average GPA of 3.26 and the average ACT score of 21.

“Bluffton is thrilled to enroll our largest class in six years and to have the largest number of international students on campus since 2003," said Robin Bowlus, vice president for enrollment management and marketing.

MT. BLANCHARD - The Bluffton boys cross country team finished a solid seventh at the 13-team Riverdale Invitational Thursday evening.

Hopewell-Loudon won with just 25 points. Van Buren was a distant second with 78 points, followed by USV in third (141). Bluffton tallied 175 points to finish just two points beind Carey.
