The Bluffton Scrap Artist Quilters club will meet on Monday, May 6, at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center, 132 N. Main St. This club celebrates all things quilted, sewn and/or made with fabric. The group always has show 'n tell during the meeting to allow members and guests to show their handiwork.
Guests are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Visiting Bluffton posted a fifth consecutive whitewash as they shut out Lima Central Catholic 9-0 Monday evening in a non-conference softball game.
The Lady Pirates extended their win streak to 16 games with the lopsided win, and improved their season record to 17-1.
Junior hurler Libby Schaadt struck out a season-high 16 batters and walked none in seven scoreless innings. She gave up just two hits and increased her record to 15-1.
Opening day for the Bluffton Farmers Market is Saturday.
Located in the Citizens National Bank parking lot at 102 S. Main St.,, the market runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon every Saturday morning from May through October.
Managed by Greg Probst, the Bluffton Farmers Market has more than 20 vendors signed up for the full year. Products and vendors vary by the season, giving shoppers a selection of fresh, local products. Vegetables, fruits, plants, and cottage foods are included in the market.
As this year's graduation fast approaches, the Icon looks to past valedictorians of Bluffton High School to inspire this year's graduates as they set sail on adventures unknown.

The next Gardeners of the Bluffton Pandora Area meeting is Tuesday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bluffton Public Library, in the main area of the library.
The club is hosting naturalist Beth Theisen from the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Parks of Allen County who will be presenting on how to create a “Backyard Habitat” for those creatures that we would like to see visit our yards and gardens. Please note, due to the library book sale, the club meeting will be held in the main area of the library.
