University promotes mental health awareness

Last week Bluffton University hosted the #SameHere Sit down, an interactive event produced by the Global Mental Health Alliance “We’re All A Little Crazy.”

Bluffton was one of 15 schools on the college tour and the only Division III school involved.

James Grandey, head baseball coach, organized the event after reaching out to founder Eric Kussin, who brings together athletes, celebrities and influencers to talk about mental health in a way that’s appealing to college students and athletes. 

To qualified STNAs

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) has announced that it is offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus to qualified STNAs through April 30, 2019. 

The bonus is part of a recruitment strategy to meet current staffing needs and to attract reliable, qualified State Tested Nursing Assistants to the organization.

Make-up day is Thursday, April 18

Bluffton schools are cancelled on Monday, Feb. 18, according to Greg Denecker, superintendent. A 2-hour delay was announced at 5:27 a.m. School was cancelled at 7:52 a.m.

Because Bluffton has used its calamity days, the make-up day for today will be Thursday, April 18.
