Transition Bluffton will host a Swap Night next week. The event is open to the public at no charge and will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the third floor meeting room of the Bluffton town hall
Bring new, unwanted items or gently used, no longer needed things to trade for something that you can use. Items for the swap will include:
• clothing
• small appliances
• tools
• books
• other miscellaneous items.
Bring items to trade between 6:30 and 7 p.m. Swapping begins at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

FIFTH GRADE QUIZ BOWL SEASON: Jan. 14 is the first Quiz Bowl match. All matches will be held at Shawnee Middle School. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce wants to know.
"Bluffton's Blaze is steeped in tradition, but we're always trying to make it better," said Paula Scott, chamber CEO. "We want everyone's feedback about the 2018 festival.

Donate it to Bluffton Family Recreation. The local non-profit has a year-around shoe collection. You can't miss noticing details because the shoe collection announcement is in the entrance to BFR, 215 Snider Road. Last year's drive, ending in January, included 5,550 pair of shoes earning BFR over $2,000.
Bluffton Family Recreation is signing up teams for youth arena flag football starting on Jan. 12, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.
Divisions are for 5- to 7-year-olds and 8- to 10-year-olds. Games begin at 8 a.m. on Saturdays, starting Jan. 12. Games continue to Feb. 9. The next series of games is from Feb. 16 to March 16.
