The Dough Hook, 117 N Main St., celebrates 10 years as a downtown Bluffton deli on Saturday, according to Marlena Ballinger, shop owner.
Several things take place at the store from 9 a.m. to noon. That includes:
• Take a selfie with Harry the Hereford
• Visit with store founders John and Sharon Calvelage
• Tour the shop – see some nostalgic items including the original meat rail and meat grinder
• Free samples of The Dough Hook’s products
• Door prizes for store apparel, deli items and baked goods.

Nick White, assistant professor of English at The Ohio State University, will present a reading of “Sweet and Low” during Bluffton University’s annual English Festival Forum at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Yoder Recital Hall.
The Forum is part of Bluffton’s 35th annual English Festival where high school students are invited to spend the day at Bluffton to interact with speakers and Bluffton English faculty.
U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in health care rankings, has named Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, to its 2018-19 “Best Nursing Homes” list.
This year, 2,975 nursing homes earned the designation by being rated High Performing in either Short-Stay Rehabilitation or Overall ratings and at least Average in the other.
The U.S. News & World Report website reports that on any given morning this year, roughly 1.4 million individuals, including 1 in 10 individuals age 85 and above, will wake up in a U.S. nursing home.
