On a new set of Mastercraft tires purchased in November

Paul S. Schutz, 96, died Oct. 31, 2018, at Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora. Paul was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Pandora to the late Hiram and Lucille (Weida) Schutz.  On March 27, 1948, he married Dorothy Knepper Schutz who preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 2010.

Paul graduated from Pandora High School and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a farmer and had worked at McIntosh Industries in Bluffton. Paul was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church and the Pandora American Legion.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera, hosts an American Red Cross blood drive on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran School gym located at 105 Allen St.

Bluffton Downtown Merchants invite Icon viewers to a downtown Christmas open house Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2 and 3.

Each participating business has an assortment of specials and discount items.

The holiday gift silent auction begins Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m. through Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m.

"This is a wonderful way to get your holiday shopping done all while benefiting your library and its community. All packages will include a minimum bid and feature a special “Buy Now” price if you’re ready to take it home at that time," said Jessica Hermiller, library director.
