Transition Bluffton will hold a public event at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Bluffton University Nature Preserve during, which participants will experience the emotional and health benefits of being in nature.
Although modern technologies are making our life easier, more and more people are experiencing a sense of unease and anxiety. New scientific research is concluding that our being disconnected from nature may be the cause. Scientists are finding that a connection to the natural world is crucial for our health and well-being.

The Bluffton University football team rattled off 27 points in the second half en route to a 34-0 shutout at Earlham College on Saturday, Sept. 15.
The Beavers improved to 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the Heartland Conference, while the Quakers stayed winless at 0-3 and 0-1 in the HCAC. It also marked his first victory as a collegiate head coach for Coach Krepps.

Why is meal-planning such a headache? Now that school is back in session, everyone's schedule is getting busier. I decided to take the hassle out of my meal-planning and get a Fresh Meal box from The Dough Hook.
Local artist Oscar Velasquez is exhibiting several of his paintings at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, through September. Most people know Velasquez, a Pandora native, as a painter of large murals on area buildings.
His works at MMH include landscapes, flowers and scenes familiar to the region. The exhibit is located on the third floor, near the Chapel. Paintings attached are titled “Lake View” and “Three Peasant Girls.”
