The Village of Bluffton seeks candidates for the position of assistant village administrator, according to Richard Johnson, mayor.
A classified advertisement is posted on the Icon's classified ad page announcing the opening.
Currently the village does not have an assistant administrator. Jesse Blackburn held that post until he was hired in May to replace Jack Huber, who held the position for not quite 12 months.
Blackburn was the assistant for several years, serving with Jamie Mehaffie and later with Huber.

Our American Legion Post 0382 in Bluffton, Ohio, exists to support fellow veterans, their families, and our community.
In the last nine years we have donated an average of $7,000 to local community and veteran organizations. This is from our annual golf scramble.
Our donation this year is over $8,000. Basically, we see all levels of involvement from our members.
Some attend all our functions while others pick and choose their involvement because of commitments to other activities or personal family responsibilities.
The Icon has posted these three photo previously, but it's summer and let's go back to the Buckeye.
Here's three views of Buckeye quarry, where swimming was once a Bluffton summer experience. Paul Diller snapped these photos.
The pool was on the east side of the Buckeye. It is included a bath house, baby pool, larger pool going to 6 feet, and the Buckeye quarry for persons who could pass a swim test. The Buckeye had three diving boards.
