This message is to parents, especially those planning to attend the Bluffton Athletic Boosters reverse raffle in May:

The next Bluffton Family Recreation kid’s night out is Saturday, May 5, from 5 to 11 p.m. It’s the same night as the reverse raffle, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

Open to youth ages 4 to 12, it provides many Disney-themed activities and games. Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney character.

Here's an interesting Bluffton farm photo from the 1920s-early-1930s.

It's a farm boy riding a cart pulled by a dog, as the boy holds another dog on his lap.

The writing on the back of the snapshot reads: Levi Althaus's son, John, and his dogs, Tootsie and Puger (spelling?).

John is 3 in this photo - the same age as the dog, described as a "very fine" collie. (Collection of Fred Steiner)

You may have to travel to Iowa to see this plate. The Icon spotted it in early March at the Ohio Northern University agriculture conferance. This guy's obviously an Iowa State fan and is certainly involved in agriculture.

A memorial service and visitation for Michael Amstutz, who died March 11, 2018, is planned for Saturday, March 31, at the Beaverdam Church of Christ.

Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m.  A short service takes place at 2 p.m. In place of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beaverdam Church of Christ.

Mike was born Dec. 7, 1950, in Bluffton to the late William and JuLee (Garmatter) Amstutz who preceded him in death.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Bluffton University baseball team would hit the road to face off against the Wittenberg University Tigers on a breezy Sunday, March 25. The Beavers used some late-game heroics to secure the daily sweep, improving to 11-6 on the season.
