Senior artists and graphic designers from Bluffton University will showcase their most prominent work in their combined exhibit “Branching Off.” Amanda Diller, Bluffton, Miriam Fike, Lima, Tyler Frank, Maumee, Alissa Hauke, Leesburg, and Chase King, Cairo, will have work on display.
The exhibit opens March 1 and runs through March 28 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Bluffton University’s Sauder Visual Arts Center.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton fans welcomed back home the Bluffton University women’s basketball team tonight as they faced off against the Manchester University Spartans on Wednesday, Feb. 14. The Beavers scored early and often as the home team rolled to a 76-57 win, improving to 18-6 overall (13-4 HCAC). The Spartans fell to 7-17 on the season (6-11 HCAC).
NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Bluffton University men’s basketball squad hit the road to face off against the Manchester University Spartans for its last road contest of the 2017-18 regular season. After a back-and-forth first half, the Spartans were able to take advantage of a second half spurt for an 85-81 victory which dropped Bluffton to 10-14 overall and 7-10 in the HCAC conference.
Several Bluffton congregations observed the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday services on Feb. 14. Among those churches was First Mennonite. Wanda Stopher, pastor, places the imposition of ashes on Tim Schumacher.
Bluffton council’s finance committee will meet with village employees in three separate meetings in the next two weeks. Meetings are in the town hall.
Meetings are with fire and safety services personnel, service department and administration.
According to David Steiner, council member, the meetings will focus on capital budgets for coming appropriations and for a 10-year projection of village expenses.
