On Friday evening Jeanne Previte served her final meal at the restaurant carrying her name. With Jeanne (on left) are her husband, Peter, and the new restaurant owner, Heather Cox, and her husband, Colin. The restaurant will close the first week of March and reopen on March 6 under its new management.

The Food Store and university nutrition students team up for lunch

Bluffton University’s junior nutrition students will host the 2018 Lunch and Learn series from Feb. 14 to April 18 on the first floor of Berky Hall. The demonstrations are free and open to the public; however, limited space is available for each lunch.
 
Each session includes a 20-30 minute cooking demonstration, nutritional information and a full meal. Lunches will be held from noon-1 p.m. The 2018 series is sponsored by The Food Store, a whole foods market in downtown Bluffton.

Since 2014 he served as membership director of the Findlay Family YMCA

Daniel Tinch is the new executive director of Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Amy Blackburn, BFR board president. His first day at BFR was Feb. 12.

“We are very excited to have Tinch lead our staff,” said Blackburn. “He has several connections to our community and his six years experience with YMCAs will certainly enhance our programming.”

Moser-Bixel Company

The Moser-Bixel Company created floor mats for automobiles from 1925-1928 in Bluffton.

This is one of over a dozen class photos in "The Bluffton We Never Knew," photo history book now available in several downtown Bluffton businesses.

It's a Bluffton elementary class picture from the 1899-1900 school year taken by Will Triplett. It's Bluffton B Primary No. 2. The teacher is Miss Benroth.

Although the students are not identified, it is very probable that these students could be in the graduating class of 1910.

JILLLS stands for Jill Simons. Your find this plate in Ada on a silver Honda with an Ohio University Bobcat license plate frame.
