BLUFFTON, Ohio - Senior KEVIN CHRISTIE (Miamisburg/Bishop Fenwick) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week after leading the Beavers to a dominating 75-47 win over Defiance on Wednesday and a 73-70 come-from-behind victory at Rose-Hulman on Saturday. Christie joins Andrew Hunter as HCAC Players of the Week this season.

Lifelong Bluffton resident Helen Edinger will observe her 100th birthday with an open house hosted by her family.

The event is from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, in the chapel of the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, where she is a resident.

The family requests that no gifts are provided. Helen was born on Feb. 2, 1918.

Heidelberg University has announced the names of 369 students named to the fall semester dean's list. Included on the list is Hunter Larcom, a sophomore Biochemistry major from Pandora.

According to Provost Dr. Beth Schwartz, to be named to the dean's list, students must be enrolled full time and meet academic criteria set forth by the university.

J. Denny and Jenny Beaver reveal on Feb. 3

Who’s in the Suit?
 
On Saturday, Feb. 3, between the men’s and women’s games against Rose-Hulman, Bluffton University will reveal which students are in the J. Denny and Jenny Beaver suits. The men’s game starts at 1 p.m. in the Sommer Center.
 
Throughout the year, the two mascots can be found at admissions, advancement and community events. They also routinely cheer on athletes at sporting events.
