We don't know Bill Watkins' horse-riding skills, but we do know he is one of the important volunteers who helped set up the Ream holiday folk art display on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn on Friday. Watkins is also among that significant list of residents invited to turn on the Blaze lights during a previous Blaze of Lights. This year's Blaze is Ssturday, Nov. 25.

Bluffton sophomore is an OB scrub tech and works at MMH

Kelsey May is jump-starting her career in the field of nursing with a unique opportunity.

Working with doctors and nurses to assist with childbirth, May, a sophomore from Van Buren, serves as an obstetrician (OB) scrub tech at Blanchard Valley Hospital while also working at a Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton. She is gaining exceptional knowledge out of the classroom and getting first-hand experience in her major.

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Bluffton University women’s basketball squad hit the court to face North Park University on Saturday, Nov. 18. After their upset of #7 Ohio Northern on a late Friday night, the Beavers came up just short to the host Vikings, 63-59, in the championship game while dropping to 1-1 on the season.

ROANOKE, Va. - The Bluffton University men’s basketball team closed out the Roanoke Tip-Off with a contest against the Spalding University Golden Eagles in the consolation finals. It was a tight matchup as the game went back and forth. In the end, the Golden Eagles were able to come out on top in the final minute as Bluffton slipped to 0-2 following the opening weekend.

ONU women's bball team was ranked 7th in the nation - game played in Illinois

The Bluffton University women's basketball team trailed 66-64 with the ball out of bounds and 3.7 ticks on the clock before sophomore TJ Mills (Dayton/ Chaminade-Julienne) took the inbounds pass and calmly drilled a 25-footer for a stunning 67-66 victory over #7 Ohio Northern.

It marked the first clash with ONU since 2000 and just the 4th win in 28 meetings with the Polar Bears.

ROANOKE, Va. - The Bluffton University men's basketball team opened its 2017-18 campaign in the Dick Leftwich Tournament against host Roanoke College on Friday, Nov. 17. Bluffton trailed just 20-18 with seven minutes to play in the first half but Roanoke turned that into a 12-point deficit at the break and the home team never looked back en route to a 70-55 victory over the Beavers.
