The Icon caught up with Bowen Hochstetler while he went to the polls on Tuesday (see next photo). Bowen, 3, may not have whispered in his dad's ear on how to vote, but his dad gave him the I voted today sticker. Bowen is the son of Tyler and Jade Hochstetler.

All-HCAC release

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University defender Brittany Huff (Union/Northmont) was named Second Team All-Heartland Conference for her work on the pitch in 2017. Securing honorable mention acclaim was junior Skylar Liming (St Marys/Memorial). They were both recognized when the HCAC announced its top players this season as voted on by all of the head coaches.

The police havre a list of found bikes

Bluffton police are interested in hearing from residents who have missing bikes, or from residents who have not reported stolen bikes in the last year.

Chief Ryan M. Burkholder asks that residents with reports or question should stop in the police department, located on the second floor of the Bluffton town hall, 154 N. Main St.

He added that the police has a list of found bicycles that residents can also check.

 

Image consultant to share tips with Bluffton students

Robin Reeves, founder and director of Reeves Etiquette and Image Consulting, will present the Forum, “Professional Manners 101: How to Make a Great Impression," at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 in Centennial Hall’s Stutzman Lecture Hall.
 
During Forum, Reeves will demonstrate how students can elevate their professional brand through body language, conversation skills and appropriate dining etiquette.
 
This Forum is sponsored by the Bluffton University Alumni Association.
 
 

Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton will host an all-you-can eat fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for youth 10 and under.
 
Menu: All you can eat fish, potato salad, calico beans, baked beans, coleslaw, cranberry salad, taco salad, broccoli salad, mixed fruit, layer salad, perfection salad, macaroni salad, apple salad, green bean casserole, hot cheese potatoes, pickled eggs, macaroni and cheese, cherry dessert, cakes, cookies and pies.

Portion of proceeds benefit Bluffton Food Pantry

First United Methodist Church, Bluffton, will host an election day lunch and dinner Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the church, 116 Church Street.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Bluffton Food Pantry. Carry out is available for both meals
