Young Hailey Utendorf takes seriously the task of icing a Valentine cookie. She was among cookie icers in the "Wee Ones" Family storytime for babies, toddlers, siblings and their caregivers  Feb. 16 at the Bluffton Public Library. The Bluffton Icon sponsored free cookie decorating during the event.

The annual Farmers’ Share Breakfast, presented by the the Agri-Business Committee of the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, will be held at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at Brugeman Lodge at Riverbend Park.

The speaker for the event will be the winner of the local Future Farmers of America (FFA) public speaking contest. This year’s breakfast will also feature an update from Jennifer Wilson, Ohio Farm Bureau Organization Director for Allen, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties, and a past scholarship recipient.

Paul Baransy will conduct Bluffton University’s Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band in the annual winter instrumental concert, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, in Yoder Recital Hall.

The concert is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken during intermission for music scholarships.

Bluffton rescue, fire and police responded to a one vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 16 on Columbus Grove Road, just west of Maple Grove Cemetery. Due to the icy road conditions, the driver of a Cheverolet truck slide off the road, but was not injured. Click for a video.

Tickets are now on sale in Bluffton for a one-time performance of "Driving Miss Daisy."

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will present “Driving Miss Daisy,” a drama by Alfred Uhry, performed by the Van Wert Civic Theatre, at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at The Centre, Bluffton, 601 N. Main St.

Tickets are $10 each and are available in Bluffton at Greg’s Pharmacy, Village Cut ‘n’ Curl and the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. Tickets may also be ordered by contacting the Bluffton chamber at [email protected]. Tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the performance.
