The Village of Bluffton is now accepting applications for lifeguards and management for the 2017 pool season, according to Nancy Kindle, village fiscal officer.
Applications are available in the Bluffton town hall lobby, 154 N. Main St.
Persons with questions may call 419-358-2066. Applications are due by Friday, April 28.
Tom Clark left Bluffton after high school, but Bluffton never left Tom.
The son of Jim and Mary Clark, he grew up with older brother, Steve, in the family house on North Main Street where Riley tees into Main. He graduated from BHS in 1977.

Four students from Bluffton were named to the fall semester dean's list for part-time students at Rhodes State College, Lima. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in at least six but not more than 11 credit hours and earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher.

Twelve First Mennonite Church youth participated in the Mennonite Youth Choir Festival March 11-12 at Goshen (IN) College, under the direction of Hal Hess, a retired music educator and administrator.
Open to all students in grades 3 through 9 from any faith community, the festival culminates in a Sunday afternoon concert. The children prepare for the festival by listening to music and learning the sheet music sent to them. The Bluffton youth also prepared by rehearsing the music together during sessions with Laura Hartzler, director of FMC’s children’s choirs.
Former Bluffton resident, Thomas G. Clark, 59, of Fishers Ind., a 2008 Olympic referee and longtime leader within USA Wrestling, died on Friday, March 10, 2017, at home. He was born on Feb. 22, 1959, to James A. and Mary (Canaan) Clark in Bluffton, Ohio. His parents preceded him in death.
A chicken barbecue dinner takes place on Sunday, March 26, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Pandora United Methodist Church, 108 E.Washington St. (State Route 12) in Pandora.
