Former Bluffton High School track athlete Trevor Bassit won a silver medal in the Men's 400 meters on Saturday, March 19, day two of the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

Joan C. Jones, 93, passed away March 14, 2022, at 11:45 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, of Bluffton. 

Joan was born December 15, 1928 in Bluffton, to the late Harold D. and Gail C. (Dorsey) Carr. On September 12, 1947 she married Clarence "Casey" Jones who preceded her in death on February 17, 2005.

Donald E. Williams, 85, of Findlay, died Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Lima, to Joseph Solomon and Mary Christine (Heath) Williams.

Don married Carol Ann Bassitt Sept. 2, 1954, and she survives in Findlay. They were married for over 67 years.

The following meeting has been announced by the Village of Bluffton and will be held at town hall, 154 N. Main St.

Tree Commission - Tuesday March 29 at 7:00 p.m.

 

The Bluffton University baseball team kicked off its home slate in style with a pair of convincing wins over Ohio Wesleyan on a beautiful Sunday, March 20, 2022. Bluffton upped its season mark to 5-6, while the Battling Bishops fell to 3-8.

The Bluffton Pandora Shuffleboard Club will hold their first meeting of the year on Monday, April 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Buckeye Park, at the courts near the Spring St. entrance.

New players are welcome to come and learn. All that is needed is a pair of tennis shoes and a willing attitude. If you would like more information, leave a message with Tonya at the Senior Center and she will put you in touch with club organizers.
