Near the end of the fall 2021 sports season, this sign celebrating state champions from Bluffton High School was installed on College Avenue near the tennis courts, football field and Ricky Matter Strength and Fitness Center.

The Bluffton University women's basketball team dropped a 54-51 decision to Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. The Battling Bishops improved to 4-2 on the season, while Bluffton slipped to 2-2.

The home team went on a 7-2 run that was ignited by an old-fashioned three-point play from Brianna Gillig (New Riegel) with 6:34 to play, but OWU finished the game on a 9-0 run over the final 5:08 en route to their 54-51 victory that left the Sommer Center faithful stunned.

The Bluffton University men's basketball team downed Kalamazoo for its second straight victory in the Sommer Center on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021. Bluffton improved to 2-3 on the season, while the Hornets also stand 2-3 following their loss.

Harrison L. Underwood, 89, passed away December 1, 2021 at his residence. 

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Bethel Church of Christ, 4014 Co Rd 304, Ada.  Visitation will be from 2:00-4::00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 10 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
